Swarmify is a video acceleration company founded in 2013. We built SmartVideo to solve a specific problem: website owners were losing visitors because their embedded videos loaded too slowly, showed ads, or sent traffic off-site. Our CDN and player technology fixes all three.

SmartVideo is Swarmify’s video hosting platform for websites. It replaces standard video embeds (Vimeo, self-hosted) with a faster, branded player backed by a global CDN. You get instant-start playback, adaptive streaming, and a clean player with no third-party logos — on any website platform.

Two core groups: (1) Website owners who want their videos to load fast without slowing down their site — marketers, course creators, churches, e-commerce stores, and media publishers. (2) Agencies and developers who need a white-label video player they can deploy across client sites without per-client licensing fees.

SmartVideo is not the right fit if "free" is your only requirement (YouTube exists for that), if you need live streaming (we focus on on-demand video), or if you are building a video-sharing platform like YouTube or TikTok. We are built for embedding video on your own website.

YouTube is free, but it comes with trade-offs. YouTube embeds add their logo, show recommended videos (often from competitors), and slow your page down with heavy iframes. From working with hundreds of sites, we have seen YouTube embeds add noticeable delay to page load times. SmartVideo loads significantly faster, shows zero third-party branding, and keeps every visitor on your site.

No — it does the opposite. SmartVideo player is lighter than a YouTube or Vimeo embed. We lazy-load the player so it does not block your page from rendering, and our CDN handles all the heavy lifting. Most customers see their page speed scores improve after switching.

Our player and network are designed with security in mind. We use encrypted video delivery (HLS with AES-128) and hotlink protection. Per-domain CDN key restrictions are on our roadmap. It is not DRM-level lockdown, but it stops casual downloading and unauthorized embedding.

For most sites, it takes under 5 minutes. On WordPress, install our plugin and activate it — done. On Squarespace or Shopify, paste one script into your site header, then use the <smartvideo> tag wherever you want a video. No developer needed for standard setups.

Any site where you can add a script to the header and HTML to the page. That includes WordPress, Squarespace, Shopify, Wix, Webflow, Ghost, static HTML, and custom-built sites. If you can embed a YouTube video on it, you can use SmartVideo on it.

You do not have to re-upload anything. When you install SmartVideo, it automatically detects Vimeo embeds on your pages and converts them to our player. Your videos keep their existing URLs and embed codes — viewers just get a faster, cleaner experience.

When you embed a Vimeo video on your site, SmartVideo sees the embed, downloads the file, and re-encodes it. From then on, the video is delivered over our intelligent network, through our player.

Yes, you have total flexibility. Import from Vimeo automatically, upload directly from your computer, or source from Google Drive, Dropbox, and Amazon S3. All videos get the same CDN acceleration and player features.

Yes. SmartVideo is a 100% white-label player, so our branding is never present. Set the player primary color to match your brand palette, change the shape of the play button, and on the Pro plan, add your own watermark directly onto the player.

Yes. Every plan comes with a 14-day free trial. A credit card is required to start, but you are not charged until day 15 — cancel before the trial ends and you will not be charged.

No long-term contracts on any plan — month-to-month or annual, your choice. Upgrades take effect immediately, and downgrades apply at the end of your current billing cycle.

We do not cut off your videos. View overages are billed at a simple per-thousand rate: $2/1,000 on Startup, $1/1,000 on Growth, $0.75/1,000 on Pro. If you exceed your plan’s included storage, we reach out to help you clean up or move to the plan that fits rather than billing an automatic overage; while you are over the limit, new uploads may be paused, though videos already on your account keep playing.

Swarmify does not have specific restrictions on acceptable content types. You may use our video delivery for any content that is legally permissible subject to United States law and for which you have the appropriate rights to use and transmit.

Not currently. SmartVideo is focused on on-demand video hosting and delivery. If live streaming is a requirement, you will want a dedicated live platform — but we are a strong complement for hosting the recordings after.
