Auto-conversion from YouTube is currently paused. YouTube’s download restrictions made our existing import method unreliable, so it isn’t running as a live feature today. We’re exploring an importer-style replacement inside the SmartVideo library, but we don’t have a timeline to share.
How to use YouTube content with SmartVideo today
Download and re-upload. Save the YouTube video to your computer, then upload it to SmartVideo storage through your SmartVideo library or our WordPress plugin. The video then plays through the SmartVideo player with all the speed and branding benefits — no dependency on YouTube as a source.
