Your SmartVideo AppSumo lifetime deal gives you the SmartVideo player and CDN, with a monthly view allowance and site licenses that grow with every code you redeemed. This guide covers what your plan includes, how views are counted, and where to find everything in your dashboard.

What your lifetime deal includes

Your AppSumo purchase is a lifetime deal (LTD): you paid once. If you need help confirming the codes redeemed on your account, email support@swarmify.com with your account email.

Monthly video views. Your allowance grows with each AppSumo code you redeemed: 100,000 video views per month with one code, rising by 100,000 per code to 500,000 with five. Codes six to ten were sold in a later AppSumo sale, after the original five-code offer. From the sixth code the steps are larger: 610,000 with six codes, 720,000 with seven, 830,000 with eight, 950,000 with nine, and 1,080,000 with ten. If you exceed your allowance, you’re asked to add a credit card on file and billed $1 per 1,000 additional views. (A “view” is recorded when a SmartVideo player on your site loads its video, usually as soon as the page opens, even if nobody presses play. See What counts as a video view? for the details.)
The SmartVideo player and CDN. Your videos play in the SmartVideo player, with no third-party ads by default, and are delivered over our CDN.
Site licenses. You get three sites per code for your first nine codes: three sites with one code, six with two, up to 27 with nine. Ten codes cover 100 sites.
Watermark and ads. With five or more codes, your deal also lets you add your own watermark or logo to the player and use VAST ad support.

What your LTD plan does not include: the SmartVideo Library

The SmartVideo Library (uploading video files directly to Swarmify) is not part of the AppSumo lifetime plan.

It doesn’t stop you from using SmartVideo - you just point it at wherever your videos already live. Supported sources include:

WordPress Media Library
Vimeo (password-protected and “Only me” videos do not import)
Amazon S3
Wasabi
DigitalOcean Spaces
Publitio
Dropbox
pCloud

What you’ll see in the dashboard

Log in at dash.swarmify.com. Your Swarm CDN Key is on the Dashboard tab, the first screen you see, and your install snippet is on the Configuration tab. If you cannot find them, email support@swarmify.com with your account email.

You won’t see a Video Library upload area, since that’s not part of the LTD plan (see above) - that’s expected, not a problem with your account.

How SmartVideo actually works on your site

There are two pieces:

The JavaScript snippet - add it once to your site’s <head> (or install the SmartVideo WordPress plugin, which handles this for you). This activates the player and CDN.

The SmartVideo tag - add this wherever you want a video to appear, pointing at your video source:

A note on your account email

Lifetime deals are tied to the email you used on AppSumo, and that account can’t be transferred to a different person. If you need to change the email address on your own account, email support@swarmify.com from the registered address and we’ll help.
