Heads up: Recent player updates handle most first-paint sizing and layout-shift cases natively — players without explicit dimensions, fluid YouTube/Vimeo replacements, and <iframe> embeds with author dimensions all settle into their final box from frame one. If you were running into “odd video sizing” or fullscreen quirks before, try removing any old workarounds first and see if the issue is gone. If it isn’t, the Alternate layout method toggle below is still available.
If you have our WordPress plugin installed, visit the SmartVideo plugin Settings menu.
Then, uncheck the Alternate layout method checkbox and click Save settings.
