X10 Entrepreneur: Buffer-Free Playback for Premium Members
Dr. Nic Lucas’s neuroscience coaching platform needed buffer-free video playback for busy CEOs and professionals. Vimeo couldn’t deliver — SmartVideo could.
Dr. Nic Lucas built X10 Entrepreneur (niclucas.com) as a neuroscience-based coaching and training platform for CEOs, entrepreneurs, and professionals. His membership site relies heavily on video — but Vimeo’s slow load times were undermining the premium experience his clients expected.
His audience is time-pressed executives who won’t tolerate buffering or stalling. Every second of delay eroded trust in the platform and risked losing paying members.
“My clients are busy, and I did not want them to notice the slow video load times.”
For a premium membership site, video speed isn’t a nice-to-have — it’s table stakes. Dr. Lucas needed a Vimeo alternative that could deliver buffer-free playback and keep his premium content secure.
The Solution
Dr. Lucas switched his membership videos to SmartVideo. The difference was immediate — videos that previously buffered and stalled now started playing without buffering, powered by SmartVideo’s global CDN.
Buffer-Free Playback
Videos load and play immediately from our own global edge network — zero buffering, even for busy professionals on the go.
Secure Content Delivery
No easy download path for premium membership content — videos are protected without complicated DRM setups.
Higher Conversions
Lighter, buffer-free video on sales pages translated directly into improved conversion rates — every second of load time matters.

“My videos load and play instantly. Every second counts when it comes to online sales.”

For Premium Members
For time-pressed CEOs, buffering signals a low-quality experience they’re paying to avoid. SmartVideo made every video on the membership site play without buffering.
Why Speed Drives Revenue
“According to studies, conversion rates increase by around 10% for every page or video that loads a second faster.”
1
Membership sites demand speed. Premium members expect instant access. Buffering signals a low-quality experience they’re paying to avoid.
2
Speed and security together. SmartVideo delivers both — fast playback from the CDN plus content protection without complex DRM.

Buffer-free playback
“Bye, Vimeo 👋 … I was using Vimeo for the courses, but Vimeo can be expensive, … The solution was Swarmify. … From the moment you press play, it plays. Very good picture and sound quality and no buffering problems. … I've used it for almost 200 videos that were on Vimeo and that now are in my Dropbox, and it works like a charm.”
